Greetings!

My name is Karen and I come from sunny Perth, Western Australia.
I grew up in Australia from the age of 3. I was actually born in Malaysia, but my family decided to move to Western Australia in search of something different. I completed my primary and secondary education all in Perth. I also completed a degree in Business at Edith Cowan University, majoring in Marketing & Management. English is my first language, but I can also speak Chinese (Cantonese).

In Australia, I worked at a 5-star restaurant, a bank, an internet & telephone directory company, and a pharmaceutical company, before I made the move to Japan. As I have had a diverse work background, I can cover many topics.

Originally, I came to Japan on a working-holiday program. Ten years later, I am still here and happily settled with my family in Kanagawa. I have a son (7) and a daughter (5). They are very active and keep me on my toes.

My hobbies include badminton, cycling, reading and cooking. I also love to bake, but I am still new at it.
On our days off, we usually go biking riding at the park, or bush walking in the nearby forest. We also love to dine out at our favourite restaurants.

I teach kids and adults of all levels. I can recommend some excellent text books, but if you prefer just to chat, that's OK too. I hope I get the opportunity to learn about you, or the chance to help you improve your English skills.
